Patch 3.3 is on the way. The patch notes are filling out and are worth reading for all players (raiders and non-raiders alike) as there are significant changes on the way:
Notable items:
- A completely revamped LFG system
- Removal of the Daily Heroic for a random daily dungeon that encourages you to pug to get a new non-combat pet;
- Enforced need-before-greed system in all 5-man dungeons that recognizes items suitable for certain classes and locks unsuitable rollers out of the roll;
- New "weekly raid" quest that will award new "Emblems of Frost" which will be used to but lvl251+ gear (the random heroic pug will also award these - all other heroics will award 2 Triumph badges for completion)
- The ability to buy rep with almost any Northrend faction using Triumph badges
- Northrend shoulder/head enchants become BoA, meaning that you don't have to repeat rep grinds for alt toons (argh - and I have just finished grinding AC / EB / SoH rep with the Pally!!!)
- Much, MUCH more (including lots of class-specific stuff).
Read the patch notes. It is alot but I suspect this patch will have even more impact than 3.2 did (escpecially with the new 5 man dungeons in Icecrown).
Web rumors suggest it is possible (but unlikely) that the patch will hit tomorrow. Most people who seem to know are guessing a date after thanksgiving but before Christmas - either December 8 or 15.
